_My specialty: optimizing content for the web.
I am a "digital native" -- someone who just gets how to use new media tools and the philosophy behind Web 2.0 and the mobile movement. I've managed online marketing and publishing activities for nearly five years at Chorus America, a national performing arts association. I created and lead the company's social media program. I am the editor and a content manager of the company's website, ChorusAmerica.org, and I recently played an extensive role in launching the site's renovation/re-design. I also founded an online news publication and have produced hundreds of digital marketing initiatives. View some of my current projects. I like to think of myself as a word doctor but lots of people just say "editor." I treat minor ailments, prescribe medicine, and occasionally perform major surgery on writing submissions that come through my inbox. I choose art and photos to go along with stories, and I'm privileged to collaborate with many other creative people along the way. Besides editing ChorusAmerica.org, I'm the Associate Editor and Advertising Manager of an award-winning magazine, The Voice. My career has also entailed editorial work on scholarly and literary journals, blogs, a book, and a newspaper. I'm a writer of magazine and web articles, ad copy, newsletters, social media messages, the occasional stab at fiction, and many a scribbled note. View some of my writing samples.
